Does it take your child hours to get their homework done each night? Are you starting to dread the evening because you know the homework battle is getting ready to begin? Our one-on-one tutoring sessions can help.

School can be difficult for many students. Small problems not addressed can easily become larger ones that interfere with learning and can damage a student’s future. Constantly struggling and lacking true understanding decreases confidence and motivation, two important pieces to the learning process. Reading, writing and math are the most challenging academic activities for students and because they are all subjects that build upon themselves (each new year expands on the skills learned from the previous year) it is important to find areas of weakness early and strengthen them.

We help the students learn strategies that will allow them to master the skills they need and easily apply them in upcoming years as they acquire new ones. We provide one-on-one sessions in reading, writing, math and also have sessions dedicate to organization, test taking and study skills.

**Sessions are 60 minutes (50 minutes one-on-one with the student and 10 minutes with the parent for a summary report). (First 2 sessions are dedicated to conducting assessments and reviewing information to find the specific problem areas)

Study Skills

Students are often reminded to study before a test. But, what exactly does that mean? Our study skill sessions will help your child understand the purpose of studying and create a routine specifically based on their learning style and needs to guide them through the process. These sessions also help students discover a note taking system that works best for them.
