Frequently Asked Questions
When and where does Confidently Me meet?
The group will meet at the Creative Approach Development Center located at 2819 N. Parham Rd. Suite 150 Henrico, VA 23294 on the second Thursday of each month 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.
Do I need to stay for the meeting or can I drop the member off?
You are more than welcome to stay and hang out in the library during the meeting if your member does not need you for support. If your member will be more comfortable with you being there, feel free to join us!
What is the fee for?
Each member will be receiving their own binder and during every meeting will receive handouts and takeaways to remind them of the things discussed. There will also be light refreshments, different activities for members to participate in, and guest speakers. The fee helps to offset these expenses and keep the group engaging.
Who can participate?
Any person who identifies as a female that is aged 16 and up. For those who need additional support with communicating or participating, please share this information with Dr. Z before the meeting to make sure accommodations are in place. While Dr. Z welcomes everyone she does ask that members that are able to tolerate meeting and working as a group for 90 minutes attend and for those where this may be a challenge to contact her about other opportunities to participate.
What kind of activities will members do?
The types of activities will vary based on the monthly topic. Some examples include making vision boards, personal health, and hygiene kits, practicing etiquette and social skills, journaling, arts and crafts, and more.
