We’re beyond excited to announce that we’re now an official affiliate of The Next Chapter Book Club—a global book club specially created for readers with intellectual and developmental disabilities. No matter your reading level, this inclusive club is all about enjoying books, making new friends, and sharing ideas in a fun, welcoming space. Our spring session starts Tuesday, March 18th at 11:00 am - 12:30 pm. Each session will meet on Tuesday at that time until May 6th.

Here’s how it works:
We meet for 1.5 hours weekly over 8-weeks to read and discuss books as a group. Every member gets personalized support and accommodations to ensure the experience is meaningful, enjoyable, and tailored to their unique needs.

Membership Details and Fee
Joining the Next Chapter Book Club comes with a small fee of $50, which covers [books, materials, and other club resources]. This fee helps us create a meaningful and inclusive experience for all members.  We invite you to join an amazing opportunity to support readers of all levels as a Reading Buddy in the Next Chapter Book Club! This inclusive book club creates a warm, welcoming space where everyone can enjoy the joy of reading, no matter their skill level. Some members who are building their skills benefit from extra support—and that’s where you come in!

What does a Reading Buddy do?
           📖 Help members find their place in the book.
           🎤 Read sections out loud alongside your partner.
          💬 Encourage members to share their thoughts with 

            the group.

Why volunteer?
          🌟 Make a positive impact in someone’s life.
          🎓 Earn volunteer hours for school, programs, 

            or applications.
           📄 Receive a letter summarizing your activities and 

             hours volunteered.

Volunteer Requirements:
        ✔️ Be 16 years or older.
        ✔️ Commit to attending weekly meetings for 8  

           weeks (same day and time each week, with a 2-week 

           break in between).
        ✔️ Participate in a brief training session to get started.
